How do you distill 15 years into one compelling report? Here’s how Magnia helped the Legatum Center at MIT bring their impact to life.
Capturing 15 years of impact in one report
The Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at MIT approached me with a challenge: produce a 15-year impact report that distilled more than a decade of insights, data, and stories into a compelling 76-page document. The report needed to be both clear and visually engaging, celebrating the center’s achievements while maintaining accessibility for a diverse audience.
A collaborative process
This project was a true collaboration. The Legatum Center team provided extensive research, data analysis, and written content, ensuring that the report was deeply rooted in their expertise and mission. My role was to transform this wealth of information into a cohesive, beautifully designed publication that brought their findings to life.
I focused on:
- Data visualisation – Designing clear, engaging graphics to make complex information more digestible.
- Narrative structure – Ensuring the report flowed seamlessly, balancing quantitative insights with human-centred storytelling.
- Visual identity – Aligning the design with MIT’s branding while making the report feel distinctive and compelling.
A launch that made an impact
The final report was unveiled at a major event at MIT in May 2024, marking a milestone in the center’s journey. More than just a document, it became a key asset for engaging stakeholders, celebrating achievements, and reinforcing the Legatum Center’s role in supporting global entrepreneurial talent.
This project demonstrates how to take complex information and present it in a way that is both visually striking and strategically effective, ensuring that the center’s impact over the past 15 years was communicated with clarity and purpose.
